Community Guide
PocketDex isn't just a portfolio tracker — it's a community of collectors. Connect with friends, compete on leaderboards, showcase your best cards, and earn achievements as your collection grows.
1. Friend System
Add anyone on PocketDex to your friends list to unlock social features.
- Search for a user by their exact username in the Community tab or from their profile page.
- Tap 'Add Friend' — they'll receive a push notification.
- Once they accept, you'll both be added to each other's friends lists.
- As friends, you can view each other's collections (subject to their privacy settings), compare portfolios, and see each other's activity in your feed.
2. Leaderboard Categories
Collection Value
Ranked by total estimated market value of all tracked cards.
Biggest Gainer
Highest unrealized P&L percentage this calendar month.
Set Completion
Who has completed the most individual card sets in the database.
Most Active
Based on a combination of scans, card additions, trades, and community participation.
Regional
Leaderboards scoped to your city or region — compete locally.
3. Collection Privacy Levels
Privacy Settings — Profile → Settings → Collection Privacy
Anyone can view your collection and total value, whether or not they have a PocketDex account.
Only accepted friends can see your collection details. Your profile is still visible to others.
Only you can see your collection. Your username still appears on leaderboards but all collection details are hidden.
You can also separately toggle whether your collection value appears on the public leaderboard, independent of your overall privacy level.
4. Showcase Lists
A Showcase is a curated list of cards you want to highlight — your best pulls, a complete set, your favourite artwork, or anything else worth showing off.
- Create a Showcase: Profile → Showcases → 'New Showcase' → give it a name → add cards from your collection.
- Reorder cards by dragging and dropping within the showcase editor.
- Each Showcase has a unique shareable link — post it on social media, in Discord servers, or anywhere you like.
- Other PocketDex users can react to your Showcase with emoji reactions.
5. Shareable Collection Links
- Profile → Share → Copy Link generates a public URL to your collection.
- The link works even if your collection is set to Friends Only — it provides a temporary public view for anyone with the link.
- Link sharing can be disabled at any time in Privacy Settings.
Shareable links are great for sharing with potential buyers, posting in community spaces, or showing your collection to friends who aren't on PocketDex yet.
6. Activity Feed
- Your feed (Community tab → Feed) shows activity from everyone you follow: new card additions, sales, achievements unlocked, and new Showcases.
- Tap the heart icon to like an activity post, or tap the comment icon to leave a reply.
- Set completion notifications: when a friend completes an entire set, their feed post includes a celebration banner.
- You can mute specific users from your feed without unfriending them.

Achievement Badges
- First Scan — Complete your first card scan.
- First Trade — Complete your first marketplace transaction.
- Set Completer — Finish all cards in any set.
- High Roller — Collection estimated value reaches $1,000+.
- Binder King — Add 500 or more cards to your collection.
- ...and many more to discover.
Achievements display as badges on your public profile page.
8. Set Completion Racing
Track your progress toward completing any set in the database and race your friends to the finish.
- Go to Discover → select any set → tap 'Track Completion' to start tracking your progress.
- 'Racing' means you can see which friends are also working toward the same set and where they stand.
- When you complete a set, you earn a bonus 50 XP and unlock the Set Completer achievement badge for that set.
- Completed sets are permanently displayed on your profile.
